Tentative Happenings in our Class
Week of April 1 - 5
HAPPY EASTER!! This week we will continue in the joyous Easter spirit as we learn about caterpillars and butterflies, a beautiful symbol of New Life. Our letter for this week is the letter “ T “.
Week of April 8 - 12
April Showers bring Mayflowers! This week we will be learning about all different types of weather. The children will have fun exploring our weather center, and learning about various storms. They will also have a chance to forecast the weather live for the “Carmelite News”. Our letter this week is the letter “ U ”. In addition, we will be talking about all the animals that love the wet and rainy weather as we learn about Pond Life.
Week of April 15 - 19

Week of April 22 - 26
This week we will be celebrating Earth Day, which is on Monday, April 22. We will be talking about ways we can all help take care of our Earth… Reduce – Reuse – Recycle! Also, we will be planting seeds, and learning about how flowers grow. Our letter for this week is the letter “V “.
Week of April 29 – May 3
This is sure to be a fun week!! This is our Construction Week. We will be construction workers, engineers, and architects. We will work with a variety of blocks and tools to build our structures. In addition, we will use our wonderful art skills and our fantastic imaginations to draw out plans, and then work in teams to construct our masterpieces. May 1st is the feast day of Saint Joseph the Worker. We will learn about his job as a carpenter. Our letter this week is the letter “ W”.
